the use & understanding of basic concept words like temporal (time) words (e.g., today, tomorrow) & comparatives (e.g., big vs. bigger).
a growing vocabulary with the ability to label, categorise & make connections between words.
the skills to use and understand tenses (including root words, prefixes and suffixes) & to order and organise words in sentences.
creating, retelling & understanding narrative - whether it's a "once upon a time" story, a "how-to" guide, or a report on a science experiment.
listening, noticing, identifying and manipulating the sounds in words,
Reading & Writing -
Reading and writing involves the integration of skills, like…
linking these sounds that we hear in spoken language to letters and letter groups

We’re happy you’re here!
Our online paediatric speech therapy services aim to help children improve their expressive and receptive language, reading, writing & spelling skills through fun and interactive video call sessions.
To make this a successful experience, we’ll need your help in setting up the calls and occasionally sharing pictures of completed activities.
A dedicated learning space, like a desk or table & an tablet or computer with a stable camera, will create the optimal environment for your child's success during each session.
From first meetings to home programs, we aim to tailor each service to fit your needs.
An initial speech pathology consultation is a friendly, informal chat where we get to know each other.
We'll discuss any concerns you have about your child's communication, their strengths and interests, and what you're hoping to achieve through therapy.
This includes exploring your goals and expectations.
Finally, I'll spend a little time with your child, just to say hello and begin building a connection.
Following the initial consultation, the assessment process helps us understand your child's communication skills in more detail.
This involves a combination of informal (play, conversation & the use of non-standardised assessment tasks) and formal assessments (standardised tools & detailed scoring).
Our goal is to pinpoint your child’s strengths and the areas they might benefit from some extra support in.
Now for the fun part!
Through play-based activities, games, and interactive materials we’ll work towards your child's communication goals.
Each session is tailored to their interests and learning style, creating a positive and supportive environment where they can learn and grow.
Let’s check in!
How are we progressing? How things are going at home and school? What adjustments to our therapy plan should we make?
We'll celebrate successes, address any challenges, and ensure we're all working together towards your child's communication goals.
We’re moving towards independence!
A home program full of fun & practical activities can be designed to help your child practice their speech and language skills outside of therapy sessions.
These activities can often be incorporated into your daily routines, using things you already have at home. Or, perhaps you’d like to incorporate your child’s homework to reduce the amount of tasks on their (and your) to-do lists. Worksheets more your thing? We can make those too!
Whether your goal is to reduce therapy sessions or keep practising over the school holidays, this might be the option for you.
Just need to chat? We can talk all things speech and language in a free, 15 minute phone or video call.
